Michels is continuing our annual holiday tradition of supporting the Salvation Army of Fond du Lac’s Red Kettle Campaign Bucket Brigade – and we hope to inspire others to do the same. Michels is matching up to $25,000 in donations made during the Bucket Brigade from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.
In a year troubled by inflation, economic instability, and other challenging circumstances, Michels recognizes that many people are struggling and hopes to make the holiday season a little brighter for those in need of help. The Salvation Army’s compassionate mission of helping those who need it most is aligned with Michels core value of Social Responsibility and has been supported by the Michels family for many years.
“Supporting an organization that provides tangible, meaningful help to people in the community many of us call home is important to my family and me,” said Kevin Michels, Vice President, Michels. “As important as it is for us to improve lives through the work we do, we believe it is equally important for our actions and the values to leave a positive mark on the places where we live and work.”
The Salvation Army serves Fond du Lac County residents in need of food, clothing, shelter, emotional and spiritual support, financial counseling, additional recovery, safety, hope and survival. In the past year, the Salvation Army chapter responded to 36,748 pleas for assistance.
Our people will be ringing bells and gathering collections at the South Main Street location, but if the North Main Street location is more convenient, please donate there!
