Our consistently strong safety-first approach to construction continues to receive recognition within the industries we serve.
American Electric Power (AEP) welcomed Michels Power, Inc. into the 138kV Level of its Zero Harm Safety Club for 138,000 consecutive hours on AEP Transmission properties without a first aid or OSHA-recordable incident. We were honored at the 69kV Level in 2023.
Michels Power was also recently awarded an Achievement in Safety Excellence by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for contractors with 150,001 or more hours.
Our energy infrastructure projects are supported by a team of full-time health and safety professionals who work with project management teams and crews on-site daily to provide training, conduct audits and oversee operations from a safety standpoint.
“Because safety is the cornerstone of our culture, we are driven to focus on the health, safety, and social well-being of our people and our partners,” said Pat Michels, President and CEO. “Awards like these not only recognize everyone who shares this core value, but also remind us how important it is to continue to incorporate safety into all we do each and every day.”
