In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which left more than 4 million people without power across several southeastern states, Michels Power, Inc. crews quickly mobilized to support the restoration efforts.
Our Storm Response Team worked tirelessly across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, assisting utility companies and local electric cooperatives. Crews worked long hours, often up to 16-hour days, to help restore power to affected communities.
Additionally, in response to the ongoing recovery needs, Michels has donated a total of $78,000. This contribution is composed of $50,000 from Michels, roughly $14,000 raised through employee contributions and an additional $14,000 match from Michels.
The proceeds from this donation were distributed evenly to the following organizations that played a crucial role in providing relief to those impacted by the hurricanes: American Red Cross, Florida Disaster Fund, Georgia Send Relief and North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund.
We are thankful for our outstanding crews’ dedication during this critical time as well as the generosity of our people who lent their support from afar.
