Michels employees demonstrated our commitment to preserving and improving the environments where we live and work by planting trees on Earth Day at a state park near our international headquarters.
Two dozen volunteers planted 600 red oak trees at the Mauthe Lake Campground in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit near Campbellsport, WI. The trees were planted near the shore of the 70-acre Mauthe Lake. The trees were planted in a spot where conifer trees had been harvested, aiding the state Department of Natural Resources’ reforestation efforts.
“Planting trees is one of many ways we are stepping up our long-standing commitment to protecting our environment for future generations,” said Bob Osborn, President, Michels Energy Holdings, Inc. “I am proud of our people for helping with this and other initiatives on Earth Day. Michels has always believed being a good corporate citizen means consistently finding ways to make our world a better place.
Volunteers from Michels Pipeline, Inc., Michels Power, Inc. and Michels Utility Services, Inc., all part of the Michels Family of Companies, made quick work of planting the 2-year-old red oaks, proving that a large series of relatively small actions can leave a profound impact. Planting trees helps clean air, filter water and provide habitat for biodiversity.
