26th Street Combined Sewer Sliplining
Michels installed a 126-inch slipliner into an existing 144-inch monolithic combined storm and sanitary sewer in Milwaukee. The 4,577-linear-foot project was completed in four drives. This was the largest diameter fiberglass sliplining job done in North America at the time.
Michels also constructed two rib and board shafts, both of which measured 28-feet in diameter. The shafts were constructed in clay with sandy silt and minor rocks and cobbles near the bottom of the shaft.
