Michels recently completed a project working with a transmission company and LDC (local distribution company). Michels was able to build the interconnect from the transmission company, and install the mainline piping up to and including fabrication/ installation of the LDC’s metering facility in Northern Wisconsin.

Additionally, over the past several years, Michels has completed jobs in Wisconsin that included the design and build of the pipeline interconnect with the LDC, ordorization, meter and regulator station for manufacturing companies.

Michels was awarded the contract to design, build and construct the fabrication and installation of several launchers and receivers utilized to verify the integrity of 12-inch and 16-inch high-pressure lines in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Michels has also completed many class change and road move projects. Unique in nature and with the complexity of the facilities being moved within an environmentally sensitive area was the Lake Butte Des Morts (WI) Pipeline Replacement. Our installation techniques include the use of coffer dams and successfully working with several environmental agencies, including the Department of Natural Resources. Among Michels’ experience is a 327-mile line reversal in the Midwest for a large transmission company.
